This microwave hood has been wonderful so far. What I'm most impressed with is how quiet it is when it's microwaving something. Our old Cuisinart one was much much louder! I also love that it has a quick start +30 seconds and even a +10. It also functions great as a hood for our stovetop. The fan has 3 levels and sucks up the steam while I'm cooking. The microwave is also a great size.. Much larger than our old one.

Nice but Needs some User Friendly Power Setting Capabilities

Looks great. Good interior lighting. Works fine. BUT there are a few basic capabilities it does not have that my 18 year old GE unit did have. First, you cannot select the power level from the number pad. ALL power starts at high. If you want to reduce it to a lower level, you have to continue to press the power button until it reaches the lower level number. So, if you want to go from high to power level 3, you are pressing the power button 6 or 7 times. That's not only annoying but I suspect will wear out the power button sooner than it should. Second, you cannot change the power level in the middle of cooking. You have to stop it and then start a new cook time/power level. Third, the clock light is really bright. It would be great if there was a way to dim it. The last comment is a nit, but the other two are ridiculous since GE microwaves allow you to select the power level from the number pad AND change the power while the oven is on. Lastly, the sensor cooking is ok but not great. I realize the accuracy of this feature is difficult due to the variety of cookware used and individual items being cooked, but to focus so much of the capabilities on sensor cooking and not provide two of the three user friendly capabilities mentioned above is ridiculous. Had I known this before I bought this unit, I would probably have gone with a GE, even though it would not match my Frigidaire range.

I love our new microwave. This model has the lowest height of any that I could find. Living in a 35 year old house, when all microwaves had a lower height, I was glad to find this. This Frigidaire Gallery Over the Range Microwave replaces a 13-year-old Frigidaire Gallery Over the Range Microwave. This one has some better features than the previous like Quick Start from 1 - 9 minutes and Defrost items with weight as low as .1 pounds. I do miss some features from my previous, such as Sensor Cook Hot Cereal. Would prefer to have a Soften Butter feature instead of Melt Butter for baking cake and cookie recipes. But I can use the Soften Cream Cheese 3 oz. feature to soften the butter instead. Have turned off the white LED clock light as it is too bright for me. All in all I am very pleased with this new model with its sleekness, and the add +10 and +30 second options are also great features.

I have a limited space & this low profile microwave fit perfectly. Not too noisy & very solid. Love the display although the clock light is too bright a white as all my other appliance light "clocks" are blue so I simply turned it off. Not needed as it is directly above the clock on the stove. This microwave has been a great purchase. We have used it daily for a few weeks and it replaced a different brand which was a lemon from the start. This Frigidaire runs ultra quietly, heats evenly & is high powered. Often, the heating power is lowered for the heating process. The fan on high setting is loud but really pulls the heat/steam from the cooktop stove. Low fan speed is quieter & just as efficient. The lights over the stove are great too- provides well lit coverage for cooking on the range. Hopefully, this microwave will last for years to come! Best choice we™€™ve made in microwave purchases!

It works great except for 1 major design flaw! The exhaust fan does not work if using the oven element in any function! As in convection, baking, or air frying. So it becomes useless as a range hood if you are using the appliance other than a microwave and cooking something on your stove top at the same time.The whole point of a product like this is to save energy by not having to use the large oven! And by the way, there is no indication of this in any manual or online description. So it is a complete surprise when it doesn™€™t work!

So far so good; pretty easy install, except that I had to get creative to space the microwave out from the back wall. The old microwave worked fine without spacing forward, as the recirc vents were at the top of the front instead of the front of the top like this one. Had to add a 2" spacer to get it out past the upper cabinet (side was 13" which is fine, but upper is 15" and would have blocked the vents). The only other real gripe is that the window, despite being larger on the inside of the door, is blocked by plastic in front - there's 2" or more of window from the inside of the door that you can't see through from the outside. Odd design, and, being over the range, limits ability to see the food as it's cooking, especially for my wife (who's 5'5").

This microwave matched our complete kitchen and had no handles so it was all trimmed and smooth and sleek looked great however, one of the lights on the bottom of the microwave or not come on at all unless you tap it. When calling Best Buy they wanted to send out one of their geek squad chips to try to look at it and then told me that it would void my factory warranty so I told them to kindly not come out. It ended up being that from the factory the wiring pin was not opened up enough to stick in the clip, reinserted pin in the clip, and the light has worked ever since without Best Buy™€™s chip squad
